ACTIVITY 1 \u2013 Upcycling: Build Your Own Waste Collection Bin<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

OBJECTIVES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Raise awareness of the importance of collecting and correctly placing these wastes in the Waste Collection Bin;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Encourage the reuse of materials in schools;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Increase the involvement of the school and local community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    WHO CAN PARTICIPATE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Translation: \"All schools registered in the Eco-Schools Program 2023-2024. All levels of education. No categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    WORK DESCRIPTION<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    This activity involves the construction of a WEEE \ncollection equipment, using the reuse of materials with creativity and originality. The name of the equipment for the collection of these wastes must necessarily be called \u201cDEPOSITR\u00c3O\u201d<\/strong>. It must have a minimum size of 1m\u00b3 and must indicate information about the wastes that can and cannot be placed in the Depositr\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    REQUESTED INFORMATION FOR CONTEST<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Participation in this contest is realized by uploading, on the Eco-Schools platform, the photographs of the work carried out and the requested information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    An upload of a set of four representative photographs of the work, accompanied by their respective captions, should be made. In addition to the photographs, the following information will be requested:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Students Name and Age;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Description of the materials used in the construction of the Depositr\u00e3o<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Information about the waste that can be placed in the Depositr\u00e3o;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Descriptive Memory where information related to the construction process of the Depositr\u00e3o should be included (materials used, methodology employed, and student involvement).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      DEADLINES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Registration until February 28; submission of works until May 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      EVALUATION CRITERIA<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The evaluation criteria for the works in the competition will be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      •  Creativity and originality;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Student involvement;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Demonstration of the ability to reuse resources;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Compliance with the rules of this regulation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        JURY<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        The jury will be composed of members from ABAAE, ERP Portugal, and DGEstE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • School - gift check in the amount of \u20ac100<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Student - gift voucher worth \u20ac20 per student (up to a maximum of 30 students).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
