ACTIVITY 3 - WEEE Campaign "Make the Old New"

We challenge schools to carry out a video campaign on the importance of collecting batteries and WEEE. The work should be done in digital format.

OBJECTIVES

• Raise awareness of the importance of collecting and correctly placing these wastes in the Waste Collection Bin;
• Work on the topic of the Circular Economy.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

This challenge is intended for Eco-Schools network schools in the following category:
Category 3: Secondary, vocational, and higher education.

WORK DESCRIPTION

Creation of a video campaign with a maximum duration of 1 minute on the importance of collecting batteries and WEEE and how we can contribute to the Circular Economy.

REQUESTED INFORMATION FOR CONTEST

Participation in this competition is done by submitting the following information on the Eco-Schools platform:

• Name and age of students;
• Video title;
• Campaign script;
• A descriptive memory of how it was prepared;
• Link to the work, which should be previously published on a video platform. Example: Vimeo or YouTube.

DEADLINES

Registration until February 28; submission of works until May 31.

 

EVALUATION CRITERIA

• Creativity / Originality;
• Sound and Image quality;
• Message clarity;
• Relevance and Interest;
• Compliance with the regulations.

 

JURY

The jury will be composed of members from ABAAE, ERP Portugal, and DGEstE.

PRIZES

• School - gift check in the amount of €100
• Student - gift voucher worth €20 per student (up to a maximum of 30 students).
• Teacher - gift check in the amount of €25
