PRIVACY POLICY IN THE TREATMENT AND RECYCLING OF EQUIPMENT WITH PERSONAL DATA

ERP Portugal is responsible for the collection and recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. This privacy policy applies to anyone who delivers equipment to us containing personal data, through the available channels, for valuation and recycling purposes. Since the user's identity is not known and this policy cannot be shared directly, Article 14, paragraph 5, of the General Data Protection Regulation provides for the communication and public availability of this Privacy Policy.

We do not intend to process your personal data and request that you follow our recommendations, definitively removing/eliminating any personal information existing on the equipment before proceeding with its delivery at collection points. By not complying with this recommendation, you are facilitating such processing. If the information in question contains personal data of other people, you should only deliver your equipment after ensuring that the legal procedures for data removal/elimination have been complied with.

The collection of equipment that may contain personal information only occurs for reuse and recycling purposes, operations carried out by suppliers contracted by ERP Portugal. Our activity does not provide access to this equipment or to the information contained therein. In all situations, the equipment (and the information) are destroyed and recycled in the facilities of the waste management operators, who assume responsibility for respecting this policy. In this regard, various security technologies and operational procedures are used to prevent unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure of data. However, if you have delivered equipment with personal data or others against our recommendations, we are not responsible for any unauthorized handling of them by malicious individuals.

Since the processing of personal data present in electrical and electronic equipment does not imply user identification, we are not obligated to: (a) maintain, acquire, or apply additional processes to facilitate this identification; (b) design access, alteration, deletion, or processing restriction permissions, nor share the information with the user. Based on the nature of our activity and volume of equipment managed, there is the least probability of individually identifying specific equipment, even with special requests for this purpose.

We will be happy to answer questions related to data protection, to be sent through the address: info@erp-portugal.pt

ERP Portugal reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy in accordance with legal and circumstantial requirements, so we recommend its regular consultation.
